Statement
of Faith
We
believe in God the almighty Father the creator of heavens
and earth (all things seen and unseen) existing in three persons:
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 46:9, Matthew 1:21, Matthew 28:19, Luke 1:35
We
believe God is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and
love; that He concerns Himself in the affairs of all mankind and
hears and answers prayers.
Romans 11:33-39, Isaiah 40:8, Isaiah 46:8-10
We
believe the bible scriptures both old and new testament
are the fully inspired, infallible word of God; that they are
to be interpreted according to their context and purpose in reverent
obedience to our Lord; that we as believers are to live our lives
according to Gods words.
2 Timothy 3:16, Romans 15:4-5, James 1:22
We
believe God saves us from all our sins and eternal death
that come to Him through His son Jesus Christ.
John 14:6, Matthew 11:26-28
We
believe Jesus Christ is the only Son of God; born of
a virgin; came as our sinless substitute to shed His blood on
the cross to completely pay for the atonement of our sins; Jesus
Christ did die on the cross, was buried, three days later was
resurrected, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of
our Father; is our advocate and only High Priest.
John 1:14-18, Luke 1:31-35, Luke 1:26-27, Hebrews 4:15, Romans
5:8, Ephesians 1:20, Isaiah 7:14
We
believe the Holy Spirit came from the Father and Son
to convict the world of sin, rightousness, and judgment; to empower
for ministry all who believe in Jesus Christ; the Holy Spirit
indwells every believer in Jesus Christ; He is an abiding Helper
and Teacher.
John 15:26, John 16:8, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
We
believe every person is born with a sinful nature; is
spiritually dead (at the age of accountability) and cannot please
God until Christ gives him life; salvation from sin, death, and
hell is by God’s grace; It must be received by faith apart
from any human performance or merit; it is a free gift of God
to one who personally places his trust in Jesus Christ and His
finished work on the Cross; a truly born again person is secure
in Christ.
John 1:12-13; John 10:9 Ephesians 2:1-10; Acts 2:38; Ezekiel 36:26
We
believe all believers should assemble in local churches
for mutual edification, encouragement, evangelism and worship.
1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Acts 2:47
We
believe in the participation of the water Baptism (public
acceptance of Christ); Lord’s Supper (remembering Christ
and the new convenient); washing of feet (demonstration of humility
to one another) None of these are a condition for salvation, but
as a result.
Acts 2:38, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians, John 13:12-17
We
believe that Lord Jesus Christ will personally return
to earth for His own and the consummation of His Kingdom; the
resurrection of the body; the final judgement; and both the eternal
blessing of the righteous and eternal punishment of the wicked.
Acts 1:11; Matthew 25:31; 1 Corinthians 15:20-24; Revelation 20:11,
21:8
We
believe in the union of matrimony is between one man
and one woman.
Ephesians 5:31, Matthew 19:5
