Have the Attitude of Christ, Philippians 2:1-11

God you know my heart and my true desire…

Matthew 5:21-24
21 “You have heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment.’ 22 But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.

23 “So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you [grievance, injustice, grudge], 24 leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.

AUTHENTIC FAITH IS NEITHER SEEKING TO BE WITH THE LEFT OR RIGHT, BUT THE DESIRE TO BECOME RELEVANT TO GOD, HIS WORD, HIS MISSION AND TO BECOME PERSONALLY ACCOUNTABLE FOR OUR THOUGHTS DEEDS AND ACTIONS

Just think what could happen if all of us would take a long look in the mirror. And ask the all important question. Does all the other BAGGAGE really matter and where is God in all of this?

Let’s Teach the World, Starting With Ourselves
PART 1 Take the time to think about your answers and be complete as possible.

How would you explain to someone, where you go to church?

That was easy!
Now explain what your church looks like? Be clear with your description and give very specific details.

How do you get to your church? Specific directions

What is your church constructed of?

What do you believe is needed to get to Heaven?

How does one get saved?

This is all for now, answer all the questions completely and lets explore God’s word together. For the rest of you in internet land, we will add the rest of the study Thursday evening.

God Bless

The Greek word translated “Gospel” is euangelion, and has its origin in the soap merchants of ancient times who would advertise their wares by calling out, Good News!” upon entering a town. In those days before deodorant or cologne, the arrival of soap was good news indeed!* Very much like the Gospel of Christ, it comes to cleanse us of our sins and make fresh. more…

Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.

Explain Acts 1:8 in your own words?

Was this passage specifically and solely addressed to the disciples that heard it that day?

Do you feel this passage applies to you?

How does this passage effect your life? If at all.

Do you feel you are fulfilling God’s desire of you?
