Have we substituted (replaced, adjusted, modified, softened) the gospel from it’s original intent because of its requirements or better yet it’s demands OF US?
Consider this thought carefully. What do you think?

Is find this refreshing and alarming to read. Christian’s calling themselves out for the blind sleep you’ve all been in. Although agnostic, I am intrigued by the honest reflectiveness of this post and what it could represent in the culture we live.
As if this forum of thinking will ever be accepted. Sorry Christians your history precedes you. Wounds are difficult to impossible to repair after the scars have been ripped open to many times.

Larry, what a great challenge for each of us to look deep inward while comparing our walk to God’s work. When we look in the mirror what do we really see? A person following Christ’s example 1 hour, 3 hours, 24 hours a day or maybe never.
This is all about one sitting down in a quiet room and having a very up front talk with God. Decade after decade we have taken the small almost insignificant pointed edges off the call to live as an authentic Christian? Why?
What’s your excuse? I’ve ran out of them.
De’Mark, God does still perform miracles. You may close your eyes, but keep your heart open. God bless

WOW, such free spirited thinking could be considered irresponsible in many religious circles and could even have a devastating effect on ones pay.
Monday, 4. August 2008
ME-TOO-ALSO, You hit the nail on the head! That is exactly the problem with many organized religions, you have no freedom. You have to live by their rules,by laws, traditions etc. And if you dont your not allowed in their church. God gave us free will and we are to use it. WE should know that we are to be following Gods word not the word of a few people sitting behind closed doors making up conditions for entrance into their group. If the person teaching is teaching something other then the true and whole word of God then they should be the ones having their pay affected. De’Mark, actually this line of thinking is becoming more acceptable to people daily. Churches that are trying to hold people accountable to something other then the actual Word of GOd are closing right and left. More and more Christ Following churches are being attended. Granted the numbers still pale by comparison but we have to start somewhere. I just hope you will continue to join us here on the sight and maybe someday you can see that GOd is the cure for everything. No matter how bad the wound.

Sorry, but this sounds like you want me to say that all that I’ve ever been taught is wrong. What makes you the authority? How wonderful it must be that God has given you alone the truth. Now that is amazing, how do you sleep at night knowing your the chosen one to lead us all out of the bondage of religion.
Do you know how silly this all sounds!
Monday, 4. August 2008
@home…….
question #1 maybe
question #2 God is the authority
question #3 I have the Holy Spirit and yes it is the wonderful TRUTH
question #4 I don’t know where Larry sleeps but most of us sleep in a bed. We Christians are all called (chosen) to witness to the ends of the earth in hopes of freeing everyone from the bondage of sin through faith in our savior Jesus Christ.
question #5 the final question, you are incorrect you sound ridiculous not silly
Gotta run I double parked my star fighter
Monday, 4. August 2008
@home mommy, not trying to be mean but lovingly correcting. You need some help with comprehension. Take the time to read what is written and try not to take it all so personal. I have my doubts that Larry sits up at night to find ways to irritate you. He probably has no idea who you are and if he did, why focus on you.
By the way, if these are really serious issues of yours, you need spiritual help. I would recommend calling Larry directly.
Jedi 12, please slow down on the turn pike, traffic laws even apply to Jedi Masters.
Monday, 4. August 2008
@home mommy, What sounds silly is you! Since no one knows what youve been taught how could they ask you to denounce it? You sound very angry and the if you feel you are in bondage to your religion I understand why. You should be bound to Christ not to a religion. It makes me sad that you dont realize that God has given us all the truth. Its called the Bible. You make it sound like Larry is the only one who teaches these beliefs. Maybe mommy needs to get out of the home a little more and see that there are countless people who believe in and follow the Bible in its truest context.
Monday, 4. August 2008
@home mommy,
There’s is one thing that you may need to reflect on, in your previous statement.
“Sorry, but this sounds like you want me to say that all that I’ve ever been taught is wrong.”
Here’s my question: Are you being taught by the words of men or the Word of God?
If you investigate yourself (in the Word of God), you will see that there can be a major difference.
God bless

Kavi, T Turner, Jimmy Mac and others how can yo believe this stuff. Have you red what he rights about women in the church (A womans place is…). If not search for it in the search box above. You are the ones deceived if you by into this stuff. We are all equal in Gods eyes, both male and female EQUAL.
Jedi 12, you are a fool as you mock me for standing for what is right and true.
I dont want to fight but what he teaches is contrary to just about every fiber of my body and I know God is with me so I am certain that he is teaching falsely.
Please think about this and seek the truth from God.
Monday, 4. August 2008
Is she for real….
Once again I am reminded of the foolishness of the heart of man (woman). I’m not a christian yet this stuff seems plausible even to me (don’t go getting all emotional). Seldom do you hear someone with passion expressing that they desire to be or do more for the greater good of man, even if its premise is God. Lets face it, we all like christians for the moral law stuff and prefer to employ and even seriously date them (take home to mom).
With that said, I must agree with Jedi 12 that @home mom is one nut case. I wonder if her postings (I sure hope it’s female) coincide with her medication regiment.
Monday, 4. August 2008
@home mommy,
Yes, I have read “A womans place is.” and I agree with it (that’s just my opinion).
But you either failed to see or failed to acknowledge the last sentence, which is:
“As many flaws as my theology may have, I try to allow God’s word to shape me while consciously trying to avoid shaping God’s word around me and my foolish desires.”
So this is the exact reflection that I was asking you about. Larry is studying God’s word for himself, and then drawing a conclusion (and he is open that his conclusion can change). What he is not doing is take other peoples word as truth.
So I lovingly hope that your conclusions are based on your own discoveries (in the Word of God) and not what “people” have told you to believe.
May we both seek the truth of God, from His Word, and not from the mouths of men.
God bless

When non believers agree, need I say more! Someone needs to allow God to lead and yes the truth of God is aligned with my life and heart. Jimmy you seem reasonable yet I God is telling me that you are a close follower of Larry’s teaching. I urge you to clear your mind and feel the holy spirit tries to open you up to the reality of free grace and salvation. The work is completed and now we are to rest and wait on the Lord.
I’ll be praying for yo Jimmy, there is hope

I thought this blog was dead?
@home mommy? Think and process before you submit your comment. Jimmy Mac is not going to listen he is under the teaching of Larry’s church.
Monday, 4. August 2008
@home mommy,
With love I talk, but..
What non believer is agreeing with you. De’Mark is the only non believer that has posted on this topic and I don’t need to repeat what he said.
But back to topic. We are told to be still and wait on the Lord to tell us what to do next. BUT, no where (that I have seen or heard of) does it say for us to only to rest and simply wait on the Lord for His return (as in doing nothing). If you know where it says this, could you please let me know where (so that I may study this). All I can say is that there is a theme in the bible and that is that we never stop learning, growing, maturing, serving, connecting, working, etc..
As far as being close with Larry, I am. BUT, my conclusions are not from him. They are ONLY from God’s Word. They just happen to coincide with Larry’s views.
Please pray for me though, every one needs it. And I will keep you in my prayers as well.
God bless

Hi ricky,
I truly have missed you, buddy. How have things been?
Sidebar: Although I do have discussions with Larry, I am only under the teachings of Christ and His holy Word (just wanted to make sure that was known).
God bless

To whom this relates,
Proverbs 14:15-16
The naive believes everything,But the sensible man considers his steps. A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, But a fool is arrogant and careless.
And for those that don’t understand why there is bad with the good.
Proverbs 14:4
Where no oxen are, the manger is clean, But much revenue comes by the strength of the ox.
In other words a clean house is lifeless (no people, no issues) and a home of abundant life will have issues (conflicts, even disagreements) to deal with. Yet yielding great results for the Lord’s pleasure and glory.
Read Matthew 13:24-30 for even a greater NT understanding straight for the Lords mouth.

Nice, but I recommend Round Up for those really tough roots. It doesn’t work fast but goes straight to the source of the problem.

I am also a @homemommy, as I believe the Lord commands of us as women. However my first commitment is to the Lord. If I first commit to Him, he will guide me with my family.
I by no means stay at home waiting upon the Lord. I serve outside the home, in the community, at my church and my door is open for my brothers and sisters to enter whenever needed for the glory of God.
We as women also have a responsibility to do what is commanded of ALL Christ followers, man or women.
I know sometimes it is easy to just get lazy and sit in our home and say I am doing what the Lord commands of me by maintaining my home, but if we continue to read His whole word we will see that he expects much more from us.
For someone to say it is not my job seems to have much more growing to do and that can only be done through study and prayer.
I am very sorry to say @homemommy, but you are far from right in what you are believing. Study some of the versus given to you. Pray for guidence and then pick up your bible and read. You have been very misguided.

Jimmy, I’ve got to jump on this one also. You say you are under the teaching of Christ and His holy word and only discuss with others those teaching? I was under the assumption that it was Paul whom was the last to be taught directly under the Savior. So really who do you study under, everyone has a teacher, well we should, that is clearly in the bible. Even in days of old the rabbi (teacher) would have his understudy or apprentice.
Side bar: EXCUSE ME, maybe it is that you are Larry’s teacher, it sounds as though you are too proud to be under the authority of another. Of what church do you pastor sir and how large is the congregation that you are personally responsible to God for?
Again while you were in college (I assume because of your reference) as you studied mathematics and the sciences were you taught by the laws and process or the professor (teacher)? I am not diminishing the Lord, just trying to clarify who it is you study under. I was taught by a Godly man who was under the authority of Holy Spirit. Someone that would correct my tests and return them to me with scores and could mentor me in the ways of The Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 4:11 King James
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Which are you?
Tuesday, 5. August 2008
All Christians should be teachers (not in school or church), but we are all called to be disciples. If you submit yourself to God’s word, then He should be your teacher. Although, it’s great for everyone to have a mentor or accountability partner that will help you grow and spiritually mature. But we do all this through the Lord’s teachings first.
Let me tell you a little something about my husband, Jimmy Mac. He was very far from God just a few years ago. Through the grace of God, through God’s amazing church (not Larry’s), and through the help of mentors (especially Larry), he has grown into a wonderful man of God. He truly lives his faith out loud and is always trying to help anyone he can. I will forever be thankful to the Lord for changing him and molding him. GOD IS GOOD!! Jimmy doesn’t know it all, but he’s very passionate about how we are to live. We both understand what it means to fear the Lord, few will find the way to heaven. That is why it is so important not to soften the gospel, to educate others, and care for them as Jesus did.
We must soften our hearts and not the word of God. Much love you all today.

@home mommy, So you take one point Larry made that obviously made you mad and now youre going to discredit everything he says? What if it was the person who feeds you the things you believe saying the same thing Larry teaches(minus the women thing) would you be open to hearing it? To call us non believers is very un fair. Like believers maybe. Just because we dont believe what ever it is you believe(thank goodness) doesnt make us non believers. Free Grace isnt that an oxymoron? Seriously who do you get your teaching from? Does someone actually preach this stuff to you or do you just read the Bible(Im assuming you read the BIBLE) and figure it out yourself? And just as you say there is hope for Jimmy Mac there too is hope for you. The hope that one day you will find the ability to listen openly to others. That you will see that the Bible in its truest sense will help you find the way. Whether it be Larry through or someone else you really need see and to open your heart to the possibility that just maybe you dont have it all figured out.

Ricky L,
I’ll make this short and sweet since you too are a man of study.
Interesting how you have magnified (being nice) God’s truth. You are correct that we all are to submit to a teacher for guidance, encouragement, love and also rebuke. For it was Christ himself who gave them to us. This does not mean that the one teaching is the one responsible for the growth of the pupil (keep reading). That growth comes from faith in Christ and submission to the Holy Spirit. As for the teacher, reflect on Ezekiel 3:16-27 & 33:1-9 for a moment (yes I’m going OT). The teacher teaches for their own survival and the pupil listens for theirs. It is about God and His message, regardless of your position. And yes, the teacher is responsible for accurately sharing the biblical truth and does when he is submissive to the Holy Spirit.
What was the deep rooted reason for Jonah not wanting to reach out to Nineveh? Did Jonah want them to submit to the Lord? NO! Yet they did because they were God’s words and desire and not Jonah’s.
We tend to forget that we are merely the vessel to serve the will of God. We can do this the easy or hard way and is entirely up to us and how submissive we will be (3 days in the belly of a fish).
My I take the liberty to include the rest of “The Word” spoken in Ephesians 4 starting in verse 11 (not beginning and ending there). And for the sake of those that my read I will use the NLT.
11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.
Ricky there are many points that could be made and over the years we’ve conversed on many of them. Let us stay on target for I see no reason to stir the pot for the sake of stirring. Let our conversation be of encouragement to those that we are responsible to teach and shepherd.
I feel we all need to reflect more on the true desire of Christ for His Church!
Pardon any typo’s, I’m on the run… and this needed to be said sooner than later.
peace-out

Hi Ricky are you around? It’s been some time, curious, do you believe Jesus wore pants?
Feel the passion of my crashing cymbals as I play out loud for my Lord.
Tuesday, 5. August 2008
Terri Jo, then you also know the demands placed on us to teach and raise our children to love and obey the Lord. Add care for the home, husband and pets, pay the bils and support the church programs. It is a thankless and endless job. I have no more time to give than this. If you feel that you must even do more like the bionic woman so you go girl. As for me I am finished and will seek my rest i n the Lord and allow His grace to fill all those gaps that I have failed to care for by some of your standards.
You hear that you should not take on more than you can handle and this is it for me. God is pleased with this I am sure. We don’t goout and party. We are home bodies and love to be all toghther with our children and each other. Can you say that Terri Jo? I am contint with my relationship with my God, my husband and my children and have no need to try to prove anything or make up for any of my inadequacies.
I pray that you will someday have the freedom to live as I do through Jesus.

Tuesday, 5. August 2008
Thank you for your prayers @homemommy. I will also pray that God will use you for whatever will glorify Him. And that you will find an appropriate mentor if it is not here on this blog.
God Bless
Wednesday, 6. August 2008
@home mommy, All the things you listed that you do are regular everyday responsibilities that you chose to take on when you married and had children, so stop acting like youre some kind of martyr. Actually what was a thankless job was coming to this earth to spread the word of God and then die on a cross so that we might live, and then have people like you say they have no time left for God. I will pray for you as you sit idly by in the comfort of your family and home, while the rest of us go out and get uncomfortable in our faith. As for Terri Jo she is a true Christ follower, she takes her child out into the world and shows him what it means to serve the Lord thru actions not thru sitting at home hiding from the world saying I believe and hoping God will here her come judgement day. Your job as a Christian is to serve the Lord period!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blogs get interesting.. I’m sure ya’ll can imagine what’s going through my head…
1. There’s chairs with people in them.
2. These chairs are on a stage.
3. These chairs are getting thrown at one another while the crowd is chanting “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry”
Note to self : why are people so quick to read between the lines than to finish reading or listening what one has to say. Sometimes the space between the lines are exactly what they are.. SPACES BETWEEN THE LINES!!!
Sunday, 10. August 2008
… and dont read between these lines either. If you dont get the message at face value then you’ll only hurt yourself trying to get the underlining meaning.
PEACE!!!
Sunday, 10. August 2008
This is a message…..
this is the space…..
this is more of the message…..
this is more of the space…..

Purple Nurple, what is up with that name? Are you like the purple people eater or something like that? I don’t understand what you are try to say either. Call me stupid, I’ve tried to figure it out but I just can’t. Some help please.
Sunday, 10. August 2008
At Home Mommy.. I’m sorry, but I will not call you stupid. Yes I am like the purple people eater or something. Hope that helps.
Say NOPE to DOPE!!!
Monday, 11. August 2008
Purple is trying to say (I think) that there are to many between the line readers. -They that read what they want to read to further themselves or just to have something in this world to argue about-.
Seriously I think schools should really focus on comprehension skills and how to utilize them.
A writer writes for us to follow the story and at times to come to different conclusions. But in the end no matter how we try to twist it manipulate it or conjure from it IT IS WHAT IT IS. Be it the Bible or be it Nancy Drew. We as readers/believers can only stray so far before the writer/Creator reigns us back in for our conclusion. Just my thoughts on Purple for @home mommy and many other between the line readers>>:)
Monday, 11. August 2008
Lamb, what are you trying to contextualize here? Did you have to tell us that you think (I think)? And when you say “to many” (that was a direct quote), how many constitutes to? And lastly (as in this will be my last and final statement for the moment, I think), thank you for clearing up what writers do. hee hee hee
Good morning
Monday, 11. August 2008
I think (I think) that you like picking on me far to much for your own good. And as far as “to many” one constitutes to many. Oh and least I forget -to fail in remembering something- Good Morning to you too. Now if you’ll excuse me I must wikipedia Contextualize and see how far you went on the funnies.
Monday, 11. August 2008
-CONTEXTUALIZE-
In order to enable ideas to be compared across the boundaries of different faiths, a whole series of religious terms will be needed to be contextualised as part of the flow of knowledge from one to the other.
I like!!!
