Chew on this…

Our standing in Church has little or nothing to do with our standing before God.

    This is a great quote.

But, I’d keep a look out Larry. There might be a pastoral lynch mob seeking you out. I thought I just saw some pitch forks and torches walk past my window (and it’s day time). Hmm. :)

    God bless

Its easy to see where ya all two are coming from.here again since your word choice bombards local congregations I should be able to exclaim myself.Standing before GOD is personal yet public. This statementabove["chew on this"] is false .Our standing in church has everything to do with our standing before God.

Jammer, I get it, but Larry is not specific on which side he is on (could speculate), other than quoting a statement and looking for our thoughts. And look closely that the word “in”, it infers that we are going to a place. As a true followers we are the Church; we don’t go in, the Holy Spirit comes in to us.

Yet, I like how you have looked at the statement. Christ is the Church and based on your observation that would be correct. The problem, we typically try to PLEASE pastors, deacons, and church attenders when it was always about Christ.

I see no need for much of what is said here. Jammer your correct there is far to much congregational bombarding by Larry and other on this blog. Our standing regardless of how you want to play with the words, is very much important to God.

Larry implies that most of us because of our official religious affiliation are heretic’s. Look in the mirror Larry it is you.

I too like the Jammer statement “CHEW ON THIS”, Larry.

Jammer, not sure if I understand what your saying “again since your word choice bombards local congregations”. before I respond like others have blindly and with great anger toward larry, could you elaborate please.

  6. T Turner Says:

Jammer, which church (C) are you speaking. Understand that there is the Church that Christ is head of and then there is the church which is referenced as a building where people go.

I believe Larry is just (once again) trying to get us all to think for ourselves (just as you are) about the process of Church, church, faith and Christianity. Too many of us have made church (I included) the center most important thing. When it’s about our relationship with God. And when you’ve got that right, you will already have a right standing in the Church. There is no denominational bashing going on. I’m a devote Baptist, yet agree that we need to drop the religious banners and seek reform.

I wish we could just be Christians that go to various houses of worship.

I think it’s like putting the cart before the horse. Church comes natural for those that seek after God.

  7. Jammer Says:

wif Whydo you since anger. The statement is triing toprovoke our feelings on the congregational hierarchy. Imonly pointing out themissuse of the word church andusing this for an oppurtunity toplay on words as the Holy spirit directs us to stand boldly.

  8. What_IF Says:

Jammer, What is the congregational hierarchy? And are you speaking of your statement or the one Larry has quoted?

  9. Jammer Says:

wif The statement on the blog is the realevant. Most congregations and other programs which include people have hierarchy. The hierarchy inwhich… would be of the same nature that Pastor Larry refers to when he teaches about us all as one ,in unity, like its going to be in heaven.More like NO HIERARCHYamong the worshipers,as Larry teaches.

  10. Your a Idiot Says:

All of this stuff is just ridiculous! Why do you waste your time, what do you think you worship? It’s all hot air.
