According to a recent survey it would seen that we have a new social class know as the Middle-Class Millionaire.

Middle-Class Millionaires: Those with a net worth between $1 million and $10 million through their own efforts and not inheritance. Which equates to 7.6% of American households (8.4 million)

You might be a Middle-Class Millionaire if…
The average middle-class millionaire works 70 hours per week

Middle-class millionaires are five times more likely than the average worker to say they are always available for work

89% believes that anyone can attain wealth through hard work

62% believes that networking, or knowing many people, is the key to financial success

Nine out of 10 middle-class millionaires say they made a bad career or business move, but almost three-fourths say that was crucial to their business success

They are five times more likely than the average middle-class person to continue on in the same business course in spite an earlier failure

65% of middle-class millionaires characterize their approach to negotiating as “doing whatever you need to do to win”

They say they need a net worth of $24 million to feel wealthy, and $13.4 million to be considered rich

In other words,
I’m just the average guy that’s doing all right for myself. I work hard and long for a better life for my family and myself. Look at me, I’m not one of those stuffy bureaucrats that walk around in fancy cloth and talk all sophisticate. Come on, I’m a man’s man, I Tivo NASCAR and watch it all day Sunday on my 72” plasma TV and drinking my favorite micro brew from the bottle.

It seems we’ve lost sight of what wealth is. And how does the $24 million wealth benchmark affect the bell curve for poverty?

  1. Larry, looks like your fan base is diminishing.

Diminishing? Or waiting for the topic that makes one want to be vocal?

It’s amazing how you can see the fan base from your computer screen. Mine doesn’t have that option. Oh well, talk to you later. :)

    God bless

  3. Larry, Thanks for posting this information about my new book, The Middle-Class Millionaire. Are you an “average guy”? You blog, share your opinion about the world, bring people together–you don’t sound so average to me. So, this begs the question: Are you a Middle-Class Millionaire yourself?

One question: did you choose your profession because it makes you happy and you figured you’d make money eventually if you do it well? Or did you choose your profession because it was a good way to earn a living?

    Best of success,

  4. Lewis, I’m really an average guy with a strong desire to live my life relevant to God and share the gospel. As for my choice of career, funny thing I am a volunteer servant for the Lord and work in the world like most other folks (bi-vocational).

Let me directly answer each question for you. No beating around the bush.

    1. Am I a Middle-Class Millionaire? Sorry but I’m much further down the worldly economic scale.

    2. What about my profession? By day I’m a mild mannered (hee hee) servant of the Lords. By night I’m a school photographer/graphic artist. I really enjoy both each bring a unique gift of satisfaction, but not fortune as the world views it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day

    God Bless
