Easter is about to pass and we all ran to our churches to celebrate. But what is going to happen Monday morning, are we going to go back to our old selves? Will you carry the spirit of Easter with you or did you check it back in after church today?
This is specifically what I taught on today. Sorry, no Easter pageants, choir melodies, bunny visits or egg hunts. Just Christ, what he did and what he wants us to do with every day of our life. It’s not about a day, but a life.
Just thinking out loud and yes more to come
Keep your faith real, Christ did

Am I truly living for the Lord when I only reflect one day out of the year (or say three to five days), no.
What about that Monday, Tuesday or Friday.
Am i going to remember the joy in my heart felt on resurrection Sunday. I pray I do. It reminds me of Lent, (not that it’s a bad thing, that’s your choice) but if I chose to make one day or week more important than the other 364 days out of the year then what am I portraying to the world. That I only need to remember or give of myself on specific days. I love what Bob had to say about Easter on his blog posted under:
http://www.verticalresponseministry.com/blog/2008/03/21/the-dangers-of-easter-bobblog/
We need to remember daily what Christ had done for us. We must praise God for paying the price that we could never pay and for defeating death, (proving eternal life). And we need to DESIRE to live as Jesus Christ, not that we “have to” or that “we should”, but because we desire to be closer to Him (living as He did).
Thank you Father for this powerful day, for for touching our hearts, opening our ears and eyes, softening our callused hearts and teaching Your message. Give me the strength and wisdom to portray your traits in my life. And may I live transparently, that you may receive all the honor and glory that you deserve. Amen
God bless
