Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.

Explain Acts 1:8 in your own words?

Was this passage specifically and solely addressed to the disciples that heard it that day?

Do you feel this passage applies to you?

How does this passage effect your life? If at all.

Do you feel you are fulfilling God’s desire of you?

  1. We do fall under the catagory of the ends of the earth, don’t we? I absolutely believe this passage is speaking to all of God’s children.
One small point/opinion: When I read this verse I also think about how we should be witnessing to the people that surround us on a day to day basis or in our home town before we become a missionary for another country or go on some crusade. Start with who you can reach where you are at, and then let God lead you where he would. I also feel that God’s desire for me (and maybe for you too) is to get uncomfortable in my faith and actually talk about Him to my friends and family.
