What is a lie? Is it something we say to get out or stay out of trouble? Is it something we say to gain favor for ourselves? Or, is it something we say to protect the feelings of others? What is it? The dictionary says: a statement that the speaker knows to be untrue; a thing that deceives; to be deceptive. Sounds alot like Satan.

John 8:44 says: For you are the children of your father the Devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning and has always hated the truth. There is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Here is the realization, we have been told from our early childhood days that people are basically nice and good. If this is so, why are we trying to remove God from America? Why did Adam and Eve eat the apple? Why does crime continue to climb? Why is drugs, alcohol and pornorgaphy such a huge problem? Why?

As Apostle Mark wrote in chapter 7, verse 8 You disregard and give up and ask to depart from you the commandment of God and cling to the tradition of men [keeping it carefully and faithfully] Amplifer Bible. Why do we disregard God and listen to men? Because men do not have the ability to look at our heart and deepest darkest thoughts. Man on the other hand sees our actions. So if we establish rules and guidelines that surround actions (works) we can appear to be as angels to the world. And this is especially important if you are wanting to be of this world.

Just thinking about it…
