Sunday a shooter opened up on four staff members at Youth With A Mission. Two killed and two in critical condition. Our Prayers pour out to the staff, students, family and gunman.

How is your church combating the busyness and materialism of the season?
Last week my wife and I got all of our Christmas shopping done—in one day. This blitzkrieg approach has become a tradition for us. It’s like pulling a tooth; better to…click here

Our annual compilation of ministry salaries is out, and this year’s tally produced a few surprises:
• If you want to make more money, switch denominations.
• Female solo pastors make more.
• The extra degree is worth the money.
Churches struggle to keep their doors open and, well, never mind. No need to beat a dead horse. click here
Acts 13:2, “While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting”.
Yes, I’ve been given a great burden to cry out to the world. The cry is to fast! A practice lost over the ages, yet taught as one of the spiritual practices. Throughout the bible we read of God’s people praying and fasting, yet we seldom hear a word on fasting.
We stress: Pray Life, Personal Devotions and Christian Fellowship, as we should. BUT, along the way we have lost a key component, which is known as fasting.
I challenge you to seek God’s truth regarding fasting.
More to come…
As we begin our study of Psalm 51, we will break it into 3 sections. The first section this week is verses 1-3, which we will title “The cry of the conscience”.
Before we can dig in we need some background. This Psalm was written by King David addressing his willfulness to surrender to his sinful desires.
For the story that brings us to this Psalm see more…

A study revealed that 6 out of every 10 ministers said their role as a pastor left them with insufficient time for their family.
It’s good to know that I am not alone. Often I feel more…
This was pasted on to me so I will now share with all of you.
As a choir of angels is led by a demon another stands in as a Eucharistic Minister, wow. What is being implied?
As they all sing, “Open my eyes Lord, help me to see”. I am praying that the Lord would open their eyes to what they are part of.
Then the priest stands proud proclaiming, “Goblins and ghouls we raise one voice”. Funny, not so much. Have we diluted God’s word to mere words?
You wonder why the world doesn’t take Christianity serious! Need I say more!
I am reminded of James 4:4 NLT, You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.
Please understand, I personally don’t have a problem with someone dressing in a costume to illustrate a BIBLICAL POINT (I HAVE and WILL), or dressing up for a social party (BIG DEAL). But come on, devils, demons and witches for worshiping our Lord and Savior. What message is being sent to the world? Once again Satan has successfully down played his very real role to the church body and world alike.
Well I guess as I think even deeper; at least they are open about their beliefs (right or wrong). I suppose it is no different than those that dress up each Sunday to look like a Christian, while living a life that is contrary. Who is really fooling who here!
Anyway, just another passing thought.
