Sipping a cup of coffee and listening to the 
news on TV this morning I about blew chunks. Yes chunks! The news came on and said that the church of scientology had declared Tom Cruise as the new “Christ”. What is wrong with this world! Don’t they realize that Tom is way to good looking to hang on a cross! And how do you explain to Suri that her daddy was too busy saving people like you and I to go play tea party.
I wonder how John Travolta is taking the news. Wait, why not have them both! Tom shouldn’t mind with such a humble personality and all. And what if, they could get Oprah involved in this new Messiah thing. I bet if they would just us the color red she would sign up.
Let’s get serious, the news said that the leader of the church of scientology David Miscaviage believes that Tom Cruise will be worshipped like Jesus, because of the work he is doing. The way I see it is this. If they want to make these claims then lets test the theory. Jesus Christ, after being beaten beyond recognition was nail to a wooden cross and left to die in humiliation. No stunt doubles here! Yet Christ lives.
Mr. Cruise, guess what? It’s your turn! Walk in the Masters shoes.

John, this is the beauty of the blog. as the title of this page proclaims, “my simple point of view” its just that. Thoughts, ideas and concerns that are on my mind that I freely share with others to ring in on at will. I’ve never implied that I am right or wrong, just that I have an opinion just like you. What interests me about your response is that it appears that you are more concerned about defending TC and his religious beliefs. With no concern with the root issue, someone claiming TC to be the next Jesus!
I am sorry you feel a need to no longer read my posts because of a statement made by an official of the church of scientology but that is your choice. The lights will always be on and I will welcome your return to “my simple point of view”. Thanks for shopping with us.
